The association
A.G.G.E. is an association under Swiss law, registered with the Neuchâtel commercial register since 18 June 2021 and headquartered in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Our mission
- To compile best practices in every field of geriatrics and gerontology.
- To certify that professionals and organisations of every kind comply with these best practices, by validating facility audits and defining staff training: this is the award of the A.G.G.E. label.
- To define tools for assessment, for hand-over between professionals, and for training.
- To maintain the register of facilities and products bearing the association’s label.
The A.G.G.E. approach
After more than twenty years of observation, elderly care appears as a system in which five types of players share the work — private groups, public authorities, non-profit organisations, public hospital groups and independent practitioners — without pursuing the same objectives or facing the same constraints. The result is inconsistency, duplicated procedures and heavy losses in the transmission of information.
A.G.G.E. addresses the ageing, elderly or end-of-life person as a whole and does not focus solely on medical aspects. The association pursues no financial objective; field work is carried out by partner consulting firms and training bodies, to which the association provides the necessary tools.
The outcome of this approach is the convergence of interests and hand-overs between the various players, improving the efficiency of every professional, avoiding duplicated procedures and improving the care of the person.
The college of experts
The expert commission collects, reviews and defines the body of best practices. It brings together permanent experts and calls on external experts for specific questions.

Geriatrics, psychogeriatrics, nutrition, medication policy, fall prevention, end-of-life care.
Psychology experts
Cognitive disorders, dementia with behavioural disturbances, family support.
Architectural environment experts
Facility design, interior layout, assistive devices and new technologies.
Occupational therapists
Maintaining physical and cognitive autonomy, home adaptation.
Legal experts
Legal and regulatory framework of care facilities and home care.

Called upon for related subjects as needed.
The founders and executive committee
Albert Scemama
Doctor of Medicine (University of Paris), specialist in Alzheimer’s disease, psychogeriatrics and pain. Co-founder of the CARMAD health network, of which he was vice-president and medical director from 2005 to 2013; president of AMADOM (Yvelines) in 2013; eight years as medical policy adviser to the Korian group; since 2013, senior scientific project manager at the French National Authority for Health (HAS).
Guillaume Leroyer
Master of Laws (University of Strasbourg), MBA (HEC Paris). Head of MSN France programmes at Microsoft France (1996–1998), then head of L et Cie (1998–2014). Former member of the Committee against Hospital-Acquired Infections, member of the CARMAD steering committee, former lay judge at the Versailles Commercial Court (2006–2013). Since 2014, head of Suissia SA, a Swiss company coordinating medical care and services.
Lu Tang
Master’s degree from Université Paris IV Sorbonne. CEO of Suissia SA. Chief representative in Switzerland of the Shandong Province SASAC (2018); named “outstanding woman entrepreneur” by the Embassy of Monaco (2019).
